I am in control of my body’s health. My mind sends clear, positive messages that guide every cell to function at its highest potential.

I can take an active part in caring for myself, while receiving the support I deserve.

Taking Part in Your Own Care

Your inner conversation can be a place of encouragement. You do not have to control every feeling or create a perfect body through thought. The invitation is smaller and more practical: notice how you speak to yourself, and offer the kindness you would offer someone you love.

Illness, disability, and difficult days are not signs that you have failed to think positively. You can feel uncertainty and still deserve good care. Your health is shaped by many factors, and professional support may be part of your path.

One manageable practice

Pause and ask, “What would care look like for me today?” Let the answer be realistic. Perhaps it is rest, a nourishing meal, help with a task, or a question you want to bring to your healthcare team. A small action can give an encouraging thought somewhere useful to go.

A question for your journal

What part of my day would feel easier if I met myself with less judgment? Write a few words without needing to make them sound optimistic. Honest reflection can include gratitude and frustration together.
